Ideas for Businesses

Hold a company wide raffle and raise funds to help pets, wild animals or farmed animals.

How it works:  Ask local business to donate merchandise, give certificates or vouchers to your raffle. Maybe your own company could donate something. Their monetary gift is tax deductable, it is great exposure for their company, and leaves everyone feeling great knowing that they have contributed to a noble cause.  Start to sell raffle tickets on Oct 1st the first day of Be Kind to Animals Week and announce the winner(s) at the end of the week  It’s also a great idea to create a Be Kind to Animals Week display showing your array of prizes as this can help peak interest in the raffle.  Please download and print our Be Kind to Animals Week poster and flyer for your raffle display.

Set out a big box at the office for pet food or old toys, leads, collars that your pets don’t use any more. If you purchase things like flea and tick medication and have more than you need, donate the excess to the shelter before the expiration date.

Looking to do a Corporate Day Out or a Team Volunteering Day? Spending the day together helping can be great for your company’s morale.
